However, I have had some concerns about water leakage, which is something to keep in mind. That’s not a huge problem for me, because I occasionally go for pressure washes. And how often does it rain heavily?

While the cost is definitely on the higher end, the quality, security, and aesthetic appeal of the RetraxPRO MX justify the price for me. But one thing should be noted, that there are more affordable options on the market compared to this.
